Punjab Congress MP supports Manpreet Badal

FATEHGARH SAHIB: Senior Congress leader and Member Parliament from Fatehgarh Sahib constituency Sukhdev Singh Libra has supported former Finance Minister Manpreet Badal and justified his stand of resigning from SAD.Libra, who was also senior leader of SAD and later joined Congress, said today that Manpreet had expressed his views only . He said Badal family is running SAD as per their will which is not justified. He said he had served in SAD for long time and now even senior SAD leaders are humiliated in the party.
When asked to comment on the statement of some Congress leaders that their party should not accept Manpreet now, Libra appealed the Congress leaders not to issue statements against Manpreet. He said it is the high command of the party which will decide about it. Single person can not take decision in this regard. He said when he had joined Congress and later allotted the party ticket from Fatehgarh Sahib parliamentary constituency, it was the party high command which had taken decision in this regard.
When asked about the appointment of new state president of Pardesh Congress Committee, he said it is important task and the suitable candidate will be decided by the party high command. He hoped new party will be appointed soon.
