Extermist Hindu organisation Shiv Sena Hindustan wants 84 style compensations, takes out protest march

Phagwara, Sep 6 (PTI): Activists of Punjab unit of Extermist Hindu organisation Shiv Sena Hindustan today took out a protest march and presented a memorandum to the SDM. The activists were demanding provision of compensation to Hindus hit by terrorism on the pattern of relief given to victims of 1984 anti-Sikh riots, minority status to Hindus in Punjab, strict implementation of law against cow-slaughter, enactment of law, on the pattern of Himachal Pradesh, against conversions.

The protestors took out the march from a local bus stand to SDM”s Court and presented a memorandum to SDM Amarjit Paul for forwarding it to Punjab Chief Minister. Ajay Mehta, Sena”s district President, while addressing the protesters, alleged that the Badal government was ignoring religious and political demands of Hindus.

The protestors also warned the government that the Sena will intensify its stir in case their demands were not met.
