Manpreet Badal refutes Sukhbir’s claim that there is no offer of debt waiver from center

CHANDIGARH: Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal has refuted the claims by Deputy Chief Minsiter Sukhbir Singh Badal that center government has not made any written offer to Punjab on debt waiver.
Manpreet Badal said that at an approperiate time he would place before press the true facts in black and white. He said that he was not answerable to anybody except Chief Minsiter Parkash Singh Badal. “I will quite if Chief Minsiter would ask me to do so”, he said.
Not willing to otherwise give up without a fight, Manpreet added that there was no way he was going to be bullied out of his post or position in the party at the behest of his detractors.
Manpreet Badal while reacting to formation of disciplinary Committee against him, said he has not done anything wrong and and he has nothing to fear.
“Manpreet has never tried to rally the MLAs around him, even though he is in a position to keep most the MLAs very happy. It’s actually the other way round. He is the one objecting to the hike in salaries and remunerations to the MLAs,” said a close associate. The Finance Minister, however, does not regret anything. “I have tried my best to do something good for the state,” he told media persons.
Describing party’s anger against him he quoted, “Hum dua likhte rahe, wo daga padhte rahe, ek nukte ne hume mehrum se mujrim bana diya”
